I have been really lucky to have three weeks off and finally got a chance to get my hands dirty again. It was such a great fun to decorate my cake and decided to try to do different cake toppers or cake bunting, some pillow boxes stamped it with just about anything really but what I have in the photo is for a wedding favour which I am hoping will bring joy and a point difference for the happy couple.
Here are pictures of what I think are my best creations yet, I was very determined to DIY as many things I could think of for our wedding and rent the rest. It wasn't easy and there were so many things to do which was also time consuming. It was difficult and I became lazy at some point and stopped doing anything for a while as the pressure was sometimes overwhelming.
It gave me time to think of what is really important to us. Friends start offering and giving us a hand, we also changed venue to one of our friends olive farms, we're also offered lots of help with other things and it all start to fall into places.
We created everything for our wedding with friends and family and it was so much fun and meant a lot more to us. But for me it became a journey to a new life that I was about to enter, little things made so much difference and made all our family and friends even closer than before. My Photos below says it all, a pure labour of love and I would not change one little thing. And I must say that the time leading up to, including and the time after our wedding with all our families and friends has been the most memorable of my existence.
So after all this blogging , taking pics and coming up with new designs I finally got the opportunity to take the plunge and have a stall at the Silo Park Markets on Friday the 14th of February.
Super excited and nervous I packed all my work up and headed down there to set up and see for the first time face to face the publics, yes your, reactions.
Had the chance to meet some interesting characters, other stall holders, and managed to sell a decent amount of clay to make it all worth while.
So this friday, the 21st of Feb you will see me down there again for what hopefully will be my regular spot, with some new items and if you have any requests please dont hesitate to ask.
On Friday the 7th of February you will all have the chance to come and see Clay Inc in the flesh when we have our very first market stall at Silo Park in the Wynyard Quarter.
We look forward to showing you our new range which includes some Valentines items.
See you all there.
2013 saw the birth of Clay Inc, and now as we get into 2014 I cant wait to extend my range, diversify to produce other items and hopefully get a market stall all set up.
I have recently had the opportunity to make this little wall plaque for the godson of one of my sisters. So wishing you all a happy and prosperous New Year to you all.
Another quirky clay wall hanging plaque requested by another customer who just love and adore owl and everything about it.
Christmas is gone, 351 days till the next one, mince pies are all eaten, turkey's are safe to wander around again without fear of being roasted and Im moving on to my next clay collection so here is all my christmas ideas from this past season in the slideshow below. Christmas gave us loads of inspiration and we had fun making them all as well as selling them online.
Keep a careful eye out for the next range......
